Frequently Asked Questions

This is a working farm with tasks and chores to keep it all ticking over. These sheepdog trial demonstrations are a sport, but also part of the authentic training our doggies have to do.
You'll see the learning curve from pups to the old pros, windows into their help out on the farm, with seasonal sheep management from minding lambs to sheep-shearing depending on the season.
Q: What is appropriate attire?
A: Millan Catwalks are no substitute for the fashion shows in Malin beg!
Wellies are more than welcome and while wet-weather gear is optional, please remember it is the "Wild" Atlantic way! With that wildness comes many degrees of unpredictability.
We wouldn't want you to get caught out, or 'catch a chill' as granny would say.
Q: Are these visits scheduled for fair weather only?
A: Our dogs can't be doing with only fair-weather friends.
These sheepdog trial demonstration are part of the dogs training and the general work on the farm. The sheep still need to be brought down and the dogs still want out, so unless it's really too rough, a wee bit of rain won't put us off our sport. We've a fair eye for fashionable rain-gear and look forward to seeing yours and as long as you're prepared for the weather, you'll be grand.
